Every school day counts
At Helena Romanes School, we want our pupils to enjoy coming to school and benefit from the academic and social experiences we offer each and every day. Research has proven that there is a high correlation between school attendance and academic performance and success.
Regular attendance in school is about giving children the best possible start in life.
Why is it important to attend school every day?
- Our learning is progressive. Each day we build upon the knowledge and experiences of the previous day and make important links between subjects and concepts
- School is an opportunity to socialise and engage with other children, developing important social skills
- Enrichment experiences including class trips, visitors and sporting events are not every day activities that can be recreated
In line with Government guidance, we monitor attendance regularly and have a target of 96% attendance. We want the very best for your child, and know that being at school every day will help them on their journey to success.
