TEACHER TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES: SECONDARY
Do you want to begin a rewarding career in teaching?
Passionate about your subject of expertise and want to make a positive difference in the lives of young people?
Helena Romanes School works with both Essex School Direct and MidEssex ITT to offer placements across curriculum subjects. Both Initial Teacher Training (ITT) providers are known for their high quality training and commitment to ensuring trainees are supported throughout their training year and beyond. During the year trainees are taught the theory behind teaching which is then put into practice in their placement schools on a daily basis. Being providers which get trainees into schools from Day 1 means that they are well prepared for the demands of school life early on and build those important relationships with mentors and other colleagues.
Helena Romanes School is delighted to be working with Mid Essex ITT, an Ofsted-outstanding school-centred teacher training provider.
Mid Essex ITT has been training secondary school teachers for Essex schools since 1994, and many of them have trained at HRS. Trainees are placed in two schools over the training year, so a large part of the training is 'on the job'. One day a week is spent receiving in-person central 'core' training from the dedicated and experienced team based at Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form.
If you feel passionate about your subject and feel that you could inspire the next generation, please get in touch with the friendly Mid Essex team either by email - admin@midessexteachertraining.com - or by phone - 01376 556398. If training at Helena Romanes School would be of interest to you, please get in touch with the school to arrange a visit.
The government has confirmed their generous bursaries for those getting into teaching in key subjects. Train to teach and you could receive up to £29,000.
