In partnership with parents, students and staff we have created the following principles for the HRS curriculum:

  • That they are kind

  • That they are respectful towards others and themselves

  • That they have developed approaches to be independent and resourceful

  • That they are broad-minded and curious about things that are different or new to them

  • That they demonstrate resilience when faced with challenges

  • That students leave us as confident individuals equipped with strategies to deal with new experiences and situations

To ensure that students leave us with these attributes, we seek to provide a broad and balanced curriculum which promotes the intellectual, cultural, moral, spiritual and physical development of students and prepares them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experience of adult life.

We are constantly looking at our curriculum to ensure it is fit for purpose, that it is relevant and well sequenced and gives students the opportunity to succeed in the subjects they study.
