Food and Catering Facilities
At Helena Romanes School we are proud to be at the forefront of healthy eating and have developed a catering service that provides wholesome, nutritious food that students enjoy eating. This includes ensuring that the current food provision meets the Government’s food-based standards for all food and the nutrient-based standards for lunch.
We encourage all our students to use our catering facilities. With our three dining areas we provide a choice of hot and cold meals with nutritious and interesting dishes.
Paying for School meals
We operate a cashless system for the purchase of food and snacks. The biometric system speeds up the service at the counter and reduces the amount of time students have to queue to buy their lunch. Additionally, there is a greater degree of security as students do not need to carry cash for their lunch.
We accept electronic payments for school meals, facilitated by ParentPay, which offers the freedom to make payments whenever and wherever you like, safe in the knowledge that the technology uses the highest Internet security available. Unique IDs and passwords are generated by the Finance Department when students join the school.

The schools catering service is provided by Chartwells, part of Compass Group. The Unit Manager is Jackie Holdsworth
