World Book Day 2021 Competition Winners
I am delighted to announce that sisters Abigail (Year 7) and Sophie (Year 9) O’Rorke share the £10 Amazon voucher for their successful joint entry in the competition.  Congratulations to them both!

In our Learning Zone lessons we are exploring different genres to help students find the style of book that they want to read and, with the Easter holiday approaching, students should have a book to read either from home or from the Learning Zone over the holiday. The Learning Zone is open on Thursday lunchtime for Year 8s and Friday lunchtime for Year 7s.

We are looking forward to sharing some of the many new books available with students.

The 27th March is Earth Hour
Every year, at 8:30 pm on the last Saturday of March, millions of people across the world join in raising awareness of the issues facing our planet.

But Earth Hour is more than just an hour for the planet – it’s a movement for our future.

And it’s more than just a symbol of support – it’s a catalyst for urgent change.

Switching off lights for an hour is the DNA of the Earth Hour movement, but there are lots of other fun ways that you can take part, such as dinner & board games by candle light, a themed movie night and much more.  Further information about how you can take part can be found below.

Stay safe and all the best,

Mr S Lill – Teacher of Science

On the days your child has PE they should wear their PE kit with their blazer over the top of their PE shirts. They may bring their rugby/hockey shirt and wear this over their white polo shirt when in PE lessons, as this provides another layer to warm up in.  If you need to purchase any PE kit for your son/daughter, this can be purchased directly from Trutex here using the school code LEA00474SC. If you have any problems or concerns about this matter, please contact your child’s Head of Year.

Students are expected to sanitize at the start and end of a lesson whether inside or outside the buildings.

Can we thank all parents and carers for their support and look forward to seeing all the students back in their Physical Education lessons.
