Reporting COVID cases over the Christmas holidays 

  • The government expects key staff at HRS to attend school up to, and including, 23rd December to respond to any new COVID cases, where students developed symptoms on either this coming Friday or Saturday.
  • We will be required to identify the close contacts of any of these students and notify them of their need to self-isolate.
  • If your child is identified as a close contact, we will notify you via email. It is important that you check your emails during this period.

It is crucial that, if your child develops COVID symptoms, you follow the steps below:

If your child develops symptoms on Friday 18th or Saturday 19th December:

  1. Book them a test immediately
  2. Email enquiries@hrs.education immediately so that we know that there may be a case that we need to investigate
  3. Email enquiries@hrs.education as soon as you receive the test result


If your child develops symptoms between Sunday 20th December and the start of the spring term:

  1. Book them a test immediately
  2. If they test positive, email enquiries@hrs.education and let us know the date of the end of their period of self-isolation so we know whether to expect them back on their return date (see letter below).
