GCSE Final Athletics Assessment
On Wednesday the PE department took the Year 11 GCSE Students to Melbourne Park to complete their practical coursework.  This was a fantastic venue for the students to complete their final assessment and the students’ behaviour was exemplary.  All of the students took part in their best two events in athletics.  It was a very competitive affair with some excellent performances.  It was a privilege to take the students to the stadium and we were very proud to see them perform to such a high standard.  Well done to all of those who went.

COVID-19 Results
Please advise us via email at ajenkins@hrs.education if your child is returning to school before the end of their self-isolation period following a negative test result. This will enable us to update our records and inform your child’s teachers that they are no longer required to send work home for them to complete.
Thank you.

Nerd Rope Sweets laced with THC (the main psychoactive ingredient found in Cannabis)
We have received concerning information that Nerd Rope Sweets, laced with THC, are being sold in and around the Saffron Walden area. There was an incident in London, earlier in the week, where 13 students were taken to hospital after ingesting some of these THC laced sweets.  Many teens are aware of what they are, but there is also concern that younger siblings may get their hands on them.   The packaging is the same as normal sweets – please be vigilant and talk to your children about the risks.
