World Space Week Competition
As part of World Space Week, we are running two competitions next week; a satellite model competition and a 200 word creative writing competition. Further information can be found in the ‘related documents’ below.
A photograph of entries (or an email of your creative story) should be initially submitted by email to firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday 9th October at the latest. The subject title should be ‘Space Week’. Both competition entries will be sent to the European Space Agency and also judged locally at HRS. Entries to the model building competition will be shortlisted and selected entries will be invited to bring their work into school to be judged and displayed in the finals.

Year 10 Parents and students
I hope you are all keeping well and everyone is settling down into the routine of being back at school.
I would just like to remind you all that it is very important that you bring in ALL your equipment every day. We are finding too many students without a reading book, which is one of the items on the school expectations list. Students are expected to read during form time and in English lessons.
It would be much appreciated if you could please ensure a book is brought in every day.
Miss W Gordon – Head of Year 10
Although the LGBTQ+ group isn’t physically meeting, due to the changes in timetable and separation of pupil groups, we are still communicating through the google classroom. Postings are made and pupils encouraged to be active and engage with each other. We also still work closely with ‘Just Like Us’, and engage with the network of schools that promote LGBTQ+ diversity.
Anyone who wants to join can email email@example.com, in confidence and we will add them to our group.
