The Helena Romanes School’s virtual Open Evening
The Helena Romanes School and Sixth Form Centre is holding a virtual Open Evening from 6.30pm on Thursday 1st October. This will replace the originally planned annual Open Morning which has historically seen hundreds of visitors come through the school’s doors to get a taste of life at HRS.
Headteacher, Daniel Gee said: “We are disappointed that we are unable to welcome visitors in person this year due to the current public health restrictions, but we are excited at the opportunity to produce a virtual Open Evening that will enable us to showcase our school and give prospective parents and students the opportunity to see what we have on offer at HRS.”
The school is currently developing a range of resources that will give a real insight into life at HRS. These will include:
- Headteacher’s welcome
- A school tour
- Presentations from subject leaders
- A message from the SENCO
- Information about the primary liaison process
- An insight into the school’s pastoral system
- Student presentations
The virtual Open Evening will be launched on this website on Thursday 1st October at 6.30pm.
We would encourage prospective families to take a look at our website for further information about the school. A copy of the prospectus can be found here.
We also have regular updates about the school on Twitter and we will tweet as the videos are added to the website. You can follow us @HelenaRomanes.
In addition, the school will be running several information mornings. These events will give small groups of parents/carers the opportunity to meet with either Mr Gee or a member of the senior team. The information mornings will be held on the 22nd , 24th , and 28th September; 1st , 5th , 7th , 9th , 13th and 15th October 2020. Information mornings will start at 9.15am (please aim to arrive approximately ten minutes earlier).
Booking is essential if you would like to attend an information morning, and participants will be expected to adhere to the school’s health and safety expectations that will be explained to parents/carers in advance of their appointment. Please contact Bev Louth on 01371 878659 or email firstname.lastname@example.org for more details or to make a booking.
