Sixth Form: Ofsted 2019 rated the sixth form as “Good”
Following our sixth form open evening I am delighted to now confirm the Ofsted rating for the sixth form at HRS.
Also just a quick reminder that the deadline for 2020 sixth form applications is 6 December 2019. Please note that the application form must be completed on line via the sixth form portal on the school website.

Presentation of Certificates Evening – Wednesday 11 December 2019
Year 12 students who took GCSE’s at HRS have been invited to attend the Presentation of Certificates Evening on Wednesday 11 December at 7.00pm. Please return the reply slip to Mr Terry Ellis or email him on email@example.com to confirm attendance and how many guests will also be attending.

All students in Year 10 should have now received a letter and checking form which needs to be checked by parents/carers to ensure that we hold the correct contact details and information on file for each student. Please return the form to Student Reception by Monday 2nd December 2019.

Les Misérables School Edition
Tickets for ‘Les Mis’ are on sale at lunch times outside the hall from 1.30pm – 2.00pm every day. Prices are £5 concessions (HRS staff, students and OAPs) and Adults £6.50. Performances are on Wednesday 4th, Thursday 5th and Friday 6th December starting at 7.00pm.
If you cannot get to HRS at lunch time, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org leaving the correct cash amount at main reception. Please include a stamped addressed envelope so that your tickets can be sent to you.

A reminder that we are collecting the following items which we will take to Saffron Walden on Friday 13th December to be distributed in time for Christmas. Students can bring them to the Learning Zone, their form rooms or items can be dropped at Reception by 12th December.

Christmas lunches for students will be served in the upper dining hall on Wednesday 11th and Thursday 12th December 2019. If your son/daughter would like to have a Christmas lunch, please pay via ParentPay before Friday 29th November 2019 and ensure that your child has checked with their friends which date to book before paying as places are non-transferable.
The cost to each student is £3.90 and 100 places will be available each day.
If your son/daughter is in receipt of free school meals, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org to let me know if they require a Christmas dinner on either or both days. You do not need to pay for the dinner on ParentPay. If you do not confirm that they require a Christmas lunch, it will be assumed that they will purchase food from the lower dining hall or snack shack on these days.
