Year 13 study leave commences on Monday 20th May 2019 for A level students.
Year 13 BTEC students must attend all timetabled lessons for the relevant subjects until they have been signed off by the subject teacher.

GCSE Spanish Speaking Exams
A huge thank you to all students who worked so hard to prepare for their recent speaking exams, and also to all parents and teachers who supported them and reminded them to turn up on time! Special congratulations to those students who battled through illness and injury or overcame anxiety to make it to their exam.

Overdue Resource Update: How we notify students and parent/carers about overdue books.
Books are usually loaned for a two week duration during a Learning Zone lesson which take place once every two weeks and can be renewed up to two times. This gives the student six weeks to read any book. We remind students to renew or return their books during every Learning Zone lesson.
Overdue notices are usually produced on a Thursday. In the first instance, students are reminded to return their overdue book through Show My Homework, if the resource is not returned by the following week we email the home contact and ask for help to find the book and to remind the student to bring it into the Learning Zone. The following week, if the book has still not been returned a request for payment using ParentPay is emailed home.
Once issued, a book is the student’s responsibility; if it is left in a classroom the student must find it and return it to the Learning Zone. We are keen to resolve some of the very long term overdue books before the end of this term so if you receive an email about an overdue resource we would be grateful if you could update us on any issues preventing the book being returned. Likewise, if payment is requested we would be grateful for your prompt response.

There is a weekly “benefits drop in” in Dunmow Library, each Tuesday between 9am and 12 noon. Jennifer Jennings from Uttlesford District Council is available at these sessions, without appointment. She can assist with all benefit related matters.
