Year 10 Parents’ Evening
The Year 10 Parents’ Evening will take place on Tuesday 7th March 2017 from 5.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m.

This will be an opportunity to discuss your son’s/daughter’s academic progress at this important stage in their education.  The students are now able to make appointments with their teachers and these should be recorded on the relevant page in their planners. Students are expected to attend the evening with their parents/carers.

Please note that parking is not permitted in the Leisure Centre car park.  There will be spaces in the school car park which can be accessed by turning right at the roundabout at the front of the building.

Please complete the reply slip from the message that was emailed home and return it via Student Reception to Mrs Calcutt in the Admin Services Office by Tuesday 28th February 2017.

We look forward to meeting you on this occasion.

Youth Speaks Competition
We recently fielded two teams at the district finals of Youth Speaks run by the Rotary Club.  Both teams performed admirably and made interesting, mature and clearly presented speeches. The students who represented HRS are:

Year 9:
Naomi Grew
Roseanna Davey
Mia Keegan

Year 10:
Megan Petts
Olivia Whittle
Olivia O’Neill

Young people are often accused of knowing nothing about the world around them, or only being interested in the trivial world of social media etc. Fortunately, the performances of our students has proved otherwise and the students should be proud of their incredible achievement, as we are of them.
