Spring Music Concert
We would like to invite you to our Spring Music Concert on Thursday 3rd April 2014at 7.00pm in the main hall.  Tickets are available in advance via ParentPay at a cost of £2.00 per adult and £1.00 per child/concession.  Once payment is received, students will be able to collect tickets from the Music Department.

This is a great opportunity for students in Key Stage 3 to show you what they have been learning in class and for GCSE students to perform in a formal concert in front of a large audience.

We do hope that you will be able to support this event, which promises to be an enjoyable evening.

Information from Careers
Year 10 Work Experience – Monday 23th June 2014 to Friday 4th July 2014

Can Parents and Carers of Year 10 students please be aware that the deadline for the return of the green “own contact” placement forms is Friday 28th March 2014.  Please encourage your child to return their form promptly and fully signed.  Please ask your son or daughter to see me in school or ring me if they have been offered a placement but cannot bring in the paperwork by the deadline.

If we have students who are still unplaced by the Easter break, and they have been given every assistance by me, we have the option with our service provider, BEP Group, (Business Education Partnership) of engaging a service where they will endeavour to match a student to an occupational area in a suitable location from their database.  This will, however, incur an additional cost for the school, and the student will not have free choice of an employer.  It follows that the students are more likely to get exactly what they want if they source their own placement.

My direct phone no. is 01371 878634.
