Key Stages » Year 8

In Year 8, to ensure continuity and progression from Year 7, all students will follow a Discovery Challenge programme for two hours each week. This will complement the work carried out during Year 7 and enhance their learning potential during Year 8. In English, Mathematics and Science students are grouped into sets, based on staff views of where each student will thrive best and make most progress. Other subjects continue to be taught in all-ability groups. Parents and carers are kept informed of arrangements and when moves between sets are required.
