The Friends of HRS are a new active group of parents, teachers and community members.
The PTFA ’s role is to help raise funds for enrichment of our School and to co-ordinate activities for school parents, families and the local community. It aims to bring together parents, teachers and others to raise money and to support the school. It provides an opportunity for everyone to work together towards a common goal raising vital funds for the school to buy items not covered by the school budget.
We’re always happy to welcome new volunteers who would like to dedicate some of their time. That could be sparing an hour or two to help at an event or you may wish to join the PTFA committee, new members are always welcome. Remember, a little often goes a long way. The school will benefit tremendously from the additional funds and it is a great way to meet other parents and to be more involved in school life.
We have already supported the Battle of the Bands, held a very popular year 7/8 disco and provided refreshments for the dance choreographic competition evenings. Other fundraisers are being organised and will shortly be publicised.
Recently, we have been able to purchase two Wacom Bamboo Stylus Tablets from our funds as requested for the HRS Photography Department. Following a donation of £500 from Mullucks Wells Estate Agents we were able to buy the refreshments for the school production in January. This meant all monies taken can go directly to the school.
Anyone wishing to join us and lend a hand at our events, please contact Tracey Fullerton via firstname.lastname@example.org
We look forward to meeting you at our next event.
