Weekly News Bulletin: 2 March 2015

Year 7 MFL Students
Year 7 students are currently learning spellings for the sponsored spell which supports two children, Rudi in Guatemala and Ramata in Senegal, through the work of Plan International.  Please support their efforts both with learning their spellings and in helping them to find some sponsors.  Not everyone is expected to raise a huge amount of money but it would be lovely if each child could raise a small amount.  A little money goes a long way in a developing country!

UniFest 2015
I would like to bring your attention to UniFest 2015 which will take place at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge on Saturday 7th March and in Chelmsford on 21st March.  UniFest is a free, action-packed day.  Visitors can take part in hands-on activities and explore a university campus setting.  It is a day to celebrate higher education, encouraging young people and families to think positively about university and how further study can realise ambitions.  I attended this myself last year and it was a great day and a fabulous opportunity to gain an insight into university life.  It is suitable for anyone aged 6-16 plus their families and friends.
