Weekly News Bulletin: 2 February 2015

Chinese Students to Visit HRS
We have a group of 35 Year 8 children from The Brand of Beijing Chenjinglun Middle School visiting HRS from Tuesday 3rd to Monday 9th February.  The visit has been arranged in conjunction with the Essex Jiangsu Centre for Chinese Studies, an organisation with which HRS works closely.

Whilst they are in school, the Chinese students will be buddied up with selected Year 8 students and attend lessons with them.  It is a fantastic opportunity for all of the children to learn about another culture, language and maybe become pen-pals, with the chance to visit them in China a few years’ time as part of an exchange trip.

I hope you will agree that the visit of the Chinese students is a unique opportunity for the school and we look forward to welcoming them next week.
