All’s Fair – a collection of poems on love and war
Year 9 English students were invited to submit poems for a collection of 100 poems to be published in a poetry book called All’s Fair.  The idea came from Joe Hobbs, a Thaxted resident, and is part of a project with the Royal British Legion to commemorate the centenary of the day Britain entered the First World War.

Parents and students are invited to the launch of the book at Thaxted Church on Sunday 3rd August at 6.00pm.  Copies will be available to purchase at £10 each.  Money raised from the sale of the books will be donated to the Carver Barracks Injured Soldiers Charity Fun.

If you wish to attend on Sunday 3rd August, please telephone Joe Hobbs on 01371 830310.
